drof99
Well, I've got the bug now. I've been pouring a bunch of stics and frog chunks. Still perfecting the tubes. I got a bunch of the poly bags as per the suggestions here. Now what I'd like to find is someone that makes a custom sticky label to put on the front. As of right now I'm not selling these. I very well do that in the future, after I've had time to fish my own baits and gain confidence in them. I've got a name that I would like to have on them. I just want to be able to be proud of what I make. I'd also like credit for the ones I give away to a select few friends. If someone else happens to grab one from them I'd like them to know where it came from. Anyone have labels made at a reasonable price, that was a quick turn around and can help with the design? I tried a local guy but he's dragging his feet.
bear21211
drof I designed my own and bought a Color Laser printer to print them with. How many are you wanting right now as I can help you with the design and print you a hundred or so if that will help you. Let me know
pigdestroyer
Depending on how elaborate you want them to be you can use this site. I am a graphic designer and have used them for clients. They do quality work at a decent price. Sticker Printing | Jakprints, Inc
Spike-A-Pike
Are you looking for something like an Avery printer label to stick on the outside of the bags? It almost sounds like you may be looking for a graphics designer to help you come up with some art that you can use now and possibly as future trademarked logo. Graphics design students at the high school and college level can be pretty reasonably priced - nobody that can give you a professional look is likely to do the work for free. Once you get a good design and have it on your pc, you can reuse it when ever you want. You might even place an add on Craig's List. Tight lines and good luck. charmerbaits
Like the others said it all depends on how many labels your wanting. We use Crown Label for all of our labels and the price depends on how many labels you order. You mentioned you have a name, you need to ensure that nothing on your label has already been copyrighted or trademarked by someone else. drof99
What is the best way to check if a name has been copywrited? I've done a Google search for the name and it came back with nothing. Just a bunch of other garbage but nothing really even similar to what I want. Right now I'm not planning on selling. I may chose to start, how would I go about protecting the name so someone else can't nab it?
pigdestroyer
Here is some good info on the matter: Small business - Trademark Protection - How to Trademark Your Name - USPTO Stopfakes.gov They even have a database that you can search and make sure it is not trademarked already.
