diemai
Just found this link on a German site . Many of us over here in Central Europe use special sling shots for chumming non-predatory fish , but this one really is over the edge ! jamie
Im sure the guy fishing on the other bank across from him would thank him. I dont think he has a rod that can throw that far. Thats good times ,drinkin beer and launching chum, they could make a good beer commercial out of that one.
Basseducer
When fishing the Republican River In Kansas for big cats, we used a similar device to launch our baits far out into the river. The area was beneath the dam and not accessable by foot. We rigged our slingshot to fit into the open tops of the chain link fence posts and used large spinning outfits. Biggest one was a 45 pound flathead. Had a big fish fry for my ETS party from the Army.
RipLip
Thats a great video. Another decent way to get chum out there is to use your standard potato gun and really send it.
Spike-A-Pike
Suddenly, I can see this as the beginnings of a whole new sport, "Chum Chunkin". Why stop with just big rubber bands, what about trebuchet chum slinger, or catapults, or mangonels... There are high tech chunkers that use pressurized air to send pumpkins into low earth obit, surely these could launch chum... Next year the new extream sport will be Xstream Chum Chunkin... What would the rules and different classes look like? The door has been cracked open...
