pigdestroyer
This is my first attempt at pouring my custom bait. I am pretty proud of it. They work great for any application; dropshot, carolina, texas, shakey head, weightless, trailers... Pretty much anything that you can think of. -Jeremy
Zbass
Jeremy, They look great!!! You'll be the next G.Y. before you know it. Curious as to how you made the masters? Zbass

pigdestroyer
I actually designed the bait on the computer and had some aluminum mold created. I haven't spent a lot of time pouring them yet, so I am getting some hollow tops, but I will get it down. These are cut sloppy, but you guys can get the idea. longhorn
The hollow tops are probably because the sprue volume is too small. I learned this when I designed a mold years ago. Excuse me if I'm over-explaining but the sprue is the area above the lure that gets cut off (or at least that's what I've always called it). Make that as large in volume as possible so the plastic does it's shrinking up there rather than in the lure. When you get the sprue area large enough it eliminates the need for going back and topping off the pour. That has been my experience. Great looking bait...those tails probably make that bait do all sorts of things that bass can't resist. longhorn
Here's a pic of what I was trying to explain...this is an injection mold but the principle is the same.
