two color senkos

Recommended Posts

If it's a stand up mold, How I would try to do it is by pouring both colors in the hole at the same time. No clue if it will work. lol

You can do it this way, but you will run into 2 problems...1. You have to have the plastic really hot to pour two colors and have steady hands. 2. If the plastic is that hot then your salt will sink really fast and you wont get the proper mixture in the bait....so I recommend a more labour intensive way....but it works well when timed properly.

Split the mold, pour one layer flat or horizontally, close it up and pour the second with the mold stood upright. Its a pain, but you will get more consistent results. Remember not to wait too long or you wont get proper adhesion of the two colors. Also try not to pour the first layer right to the top of the mold opening as it makes it difficult when pouring in the second color (You wont get as many clogs). lastly, pouring slowly will make the job go quicker in the long run. Have fun and post some of your new color designs !
