mr max
Has any member used the product RodWrap that's sold at basspro shops? You wrap the self-bonding residue-free fabric to your rod handles & foregrips with your reel in place and it's suppose to provide for greater feel and responsiveness. I can see how it might make the rod easier to grip or more comfortable to the touch if wet or cold.... but there's no possible way it will make the rod more responsive or sensitive however, that would be contrary to the laws of physics. Mattman
Excellent product for guys that like Tennessee handles. And guys that want to cover up their reel seat. Comfortable, durable, warm, grippy even when wet, etc As to any claim of improved performance...hogwash. As a matter of fact its quite the opposite. gunnie3035
Super product, keeps the handles looking like new, good grip on; cold mornings, when wet, and when used w/gloves. Everyone of my rods have it...
CreekMonster
I've never used them, but my fishin buddy swears by em. I don't think he has a rod that isn't rapped, and as far as performance, he doesn't seem to have a problem beating me (ocassionally) Jay
mr max
Thanks for the feedback. Can I reuse this product if I remove my wrapped reel from the reel seat to clean & lube it or if I want to transfer the RodWrap to another rod? Jig Man
I used them for a year or so and they got dirty and wouldn't clean up so I threw them away. I have gone to shrink tubing. It works the same and is way more durable than the rod wrap. Harbor Freight tools has it.
