I emailed captain hooks and they had no idea. Anyone else use any yet? I wa thinking of picking up some #12 and #8s if i could find them. Ogajiga Posted December 21, 2008 Report Share Posted December 21, 2008 VMC 9147 has had a chemically sharpened "needle point" since production of this hook was moved to China a few years ago. But, Shorty's sent me both red & bronze old style made in France and needle points without giving me a choice. I asked if they could send only boxes not "Made in France" but they refused. I thought i saw somewhere on vmc's site that on the 9147 the option was blue something and not black nickle??? I also do not see them listed with captain hooks, where did you order them from.
