Bending .051 wire ?

I'm playing with a buzz bait design and the only way I can bend the line tie eye is a safety pin design, they are not all uniform. Will the Hagen wire bender handle .051 wire. I have always bent by hand and the .051 is rough on a old man. Thanks in advance. David

The Hagen wire bender will bend .051 wire, but you will need the adapter kit. Check out the Hagen's catalog. BTW, they are good people to deal with.

I'm using Hagen's bender right now on some .051 wire. It takes some getting use to. With the lighter wire it makes you pro in 3 seconds flat. I've had to redo several on the heavy wire but it does bend it and once you get the hang of it the bends and loops are great!

Yes, Hagen's will do 0.51 with Heavy Wire Adapter Kit as Pete mentioned above.

HEAVY WIRE ADAPTER KIT

It works with 0.51 by default and with little modification will accept 0.62 ( if needed)

Yes it will, you will need the Heavy Wire Adapter Kit. I have been using a Hagens for a few years now. It does an excellent and very consistent job on the .051 wire. I will post a pic of one of my buzzbaits this afternoon when I get home from work.

Hope these post, as you can see, the Hagens Wire Former makes very consistent and uniform bends.
