docirv
: I find it much better to pour my stick baits and all baits for that matter with a pyrex glass and the microwave. I cannot get the Lee production pots to work very well at all. They do not maintain an exact temperature, the gate gets plugged up, salt and fleck make it more difficult to pour with the production pot. Is it me or is this a fairly common thing? I preheat the plastic in the microwave before putting into the pot but still have problems. I use a drill press and a large spade bit to constantly stir the plastic while it is in the pot and I am pouring and I am still not happy with the results. At this time I have two pots for sale, a small one and a large one. I'm staying with the microwave and pyrex. Hey, Del, want to trade? WidowMaker
I dont know if this would apply to the Lee plastic production pots but once set up shop in an older model mobile home and could not get a Lee lead pot to work properly. The problem was that the older model mobile home had aluminum wiring instead of copper wiring. The aluminum wiring would not carry the proper amount of current to run the pot. Mercury
Nope had the same thing happen to me. I use the pyrex cups mostly, but the pots are nice if you need to pour quite a few baits fast. But I agree with you.
