jimcline
I have some lure craft coloring and I was wondering if there's any reason I can't use it with Calhoun plastic. Same question with salt and worm oil. Any help appreciated, JIM
outdooradvantage
You can use LC color with any type of plastic, same for salt an softner.
Zbass
Yep! I regularly use LC and MF in the same batch. Works fine!
jimcline
Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. Now another question about hardener. I never have any luck with it but I've also never used a presto pot before. I've always just used the little metal pans on a little burner and the hardener almost globs up and the plastic doesn't cook right. I wonder if the problem is that I'm putting too much hardener in. I'm hoping that once I get my pot together this will be a lot easier and will straighten itself out. Thanks, JIM

daveh
i use a little battery hand mixer to mix the hardner in the plastic. you have to mix it real good or it will glob up.
Zbass
I think the ratio that LC recomends is 3-4 oz per gallon. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that. I add it in the gallon and mix it real good.
jimcline
Thanks again for all the advice. Sounds like exactly what I need to be doing.
Zbass
I apologize Jim, I thought you were talking about heat stabilizer, not hardner. I can't speak about hardner as I don't use it. My mistake.
