Eagle-Eye Spinnerbait However im from Australia and fish for Murray Cod and need strong baits as they can be as big as 90lb, do you know of another supplier that would have this shape in 1/2oz and 5/8oz with .40 wire and 5/0 hooks? Ive caught a few cod in the 52-56 cm range, but haven't hooked anything bigger yet. smalljaw Posted December 27, 2008 Report Share Posted December 27, 2008 As redspinlures pointed out, the Ultra Minnow from do-it is similar, a little more sleek but similar and the 1/2 and 5/8oz versions use .041 wire and 5/0 and 6/0 hooks, I'm sure there are alot of people here that would be willing to pour some for you. Spike-A-Pike Posted December 27, 2008 Report Share Posted December 27, 2008 Pallet The same company that had your sample has a product called Muskie Spinnerbait Heads that may meet your needs, It comes with .045" or .051" wire and 6/0, 7/0, or 8/0 hooks. The lead weighs in at 1 oz., 1.5 oz., or 2 oz.; larger than you may want, but the extra could be removed with a diagonal cutter. The twisted eye may work better if use a leader. You can contact them or you could get you a custom mold done with Chuck at Tight Line Anglers Products and you will have exactly what you want. He is a board sponsor and will do you an excellent job!
