ALC609
ok i have been collecting recipes for a awhile, now i'm getting ready to order my stuff to start pouring. i'm looking at buying the kits at delmart, is that the best way to get started? and one thing i have noticed is the 3 grades of plastic at delmart, which do i need for pouring worms and drop shot? thanks for any advice. JSC
Lot of threads on this subject .. pull a search. Dels kits are fine and you would want to start with the med. grade plastic. Good Luck JSC
daveh
i would start with the med plastic. order a small bottle of softner you can add for the dropshot worms. one cap per 4oz is good on the softner. med plastic is perfict for worms. Dave, is there a formula for adding hardener to baits? As I posted before, I've never had much luck with it. I think I'm putting too much in and it globs up on me. Thanks, JIM
daveh
jim i use lc hardener. when i first used it i had the globs from not stirring it enough. i add a cap full to 4 oz of plastic. i put the hardener in first then add the plastic. that way you can feel it on the bottom of the cup. scrap it of the bottom with your stirrer till you don`t feel anymore then stir real good. a friend of mine gave me a battery operated mixer. its not real big or powerfull and works great mixing in the hardener. i still put it in first so its on the bottm of the cup and then use the mixer. i found out its better to put it in first then add the plastic. that way you can scrap it off the bottom of the cup and mix it in real good. Richard Prager
I use M-F hardener. It is just a little thicker consistency than the regular and mixes very easily.
