jimcline
Just curious, have any you folks ever tried making what i would call a 2 sided mold? What I mean is pouring plaster or Dwp over one set of masters and then put another set on the top side that while the putty is still wet. Or on top side of a 2 piece mold provided you pour it a little thicker. Just call me frugal but I was just wondering if it would work and save a little plaster, JIM
nova
Haven't tried that one Jim. Sounds interesting. You're still going to use the same amount of POP though. The time advantage would be that you can do 2 molds in one frame. The way I see it you would have to make sure the back of the first mold was level; well coated with release; and set up, before you lay in your second set of masters. www.novalures.com

Just to make sure there's no undue strain on the mold when taking it out of the frame. JIM
