Saugerman
I.ve been reading all I can about making 2 part molds. I'm very interested in trying to make some, to try to make a few new style baits. Could not find Durham water putty where I live. Did find Dap water putty, has anyone used it? It has some precautions as far as wearing a mask and gloves to use it. Does Durham have the same directions?
jimcline
Saugerman, I've never used Dap water putty but I've used the Durham's. I really like it much better than POP. It gives you much better detail. Just be sure to pour your top half thick enough so that it doesn't break during seperation. I highly recommend using marbles for your alignment devices and not popsicle sticks. I don't believe Durhams tells you to use a mask and gloves but it couldn't hurt. Just make sure you give it plenty of time to completely cure before trying to seperate. Let us know how the Dap's works out. JIM
