red sox 58
I faintly remember seeing mustad triple grip, but now it isnt advertised and the hooks are like a black color instead of bronze. What is the size? Shank? I figured regular shank and size 8? Anybody know?
BobP
My Bandit 200's all have #6 Triple Grips - but I bought them several years ago before Bandit moved manufacture to Mexico. Regardless, the correct size is #6. Short shank or not, I don't know.
clamboni
Older ones did have a triple grip, #6, as stated. Newer ones have a black nickel 6 round bend. What kinf of hook? Your guess is as good as mine but it definitely seems like a good hook. Newer hook is better suited for a crankbait, IMO. Triple grips hold better once you have the hook set, but round bends set more often. I do like triple grips on suspending jerkbaits though when most bites come on the pause. JSC
I am not quite sure about the original #6 Trebeles they used, but I think they were EC .. When they took on a Rep orginization is when they went to the triple grip mustad (the rep org repped for Mustad) .. Then they went to what they have now. csob3
Bandits are rarely still found with Mustad Triple Grips. They now use short shank black nickel #6 VMC hooks, Mustad short shank #6 Trebles, or Eagle Claw black nickel #6 hooks. You will find baits with all 4 different hooks.
