go4bas
I am looking for a good hard self leveling basecoat for wood baits that I have been carving. They look really nice but I still get the grain showing and dont like sanding too much. Any ideas?? Thanks!
benton B
1 coat of thinned devcon will take of the grain. Gives you a nice smooth surface to paint.
go4bas
Thanks, What do you thin it with and which type of Devcon do you use? I presume you are talking about Devcon Epoxy. Thanks!
benton B
Devcon 2ton epoxy thinned with denatured alcohol. I mix up enough to coat 2 baits then add 4-6 drops of the alcohol to thin the mix. I brush it on with a craft paint bursh and let the bait turn for 1hr.
