go4bas
Here is a link to my bait dryer I built yesterday for my finishing. Nothing special but it works great. YouTube - Lure Dryer go4bas
bbduc
Looks nice. It also looks like you have some adjustability with the wheels, also nice. I had a similar set up with that same motor but the noise drove me crazy. I ended up finding a rotisserie and hi-jacked the mechanics out of it. Works great and is whisper quiet. Looks like you have a fine collection of baits spinning on the wheel. Look forward to seeing the end product.
go4bas
Yeah, noisy as hell but it works. I would interested in seeing what you did to quiet yours down. The baits are a Balsa B2 nockoff (Been some talk in here about Balsa B's). go4bas aka: Mike
bbduc
I'll take some pics and post them. I'm in the process of adding some bearings one the ends of the main spindle to make things a little smoother. Right now it's metal on metal. mark poulson
I think your design is brilliant. It's the same design I used. I made my drying wheel the same way, and used a rotisserie motor, and it's quiet. I posted a pic. in the gallery last year, I think. My motor is 1 rpm, which is plenty fast for the Etex and Nu Lustre 55 top coats I use. I made my wheels a little bigger, so I could coat 8 jointed swimbaits at once if I wanted. I think that the two wheel design, with a positive attachment at each end of the lure, is a very secure method of mounting, and it gives me access to all sides of all the lures as I coat them.
