JBlaze
First Balsawood Jerks, I was fairly happy with the way these turned out until I turned then into supending baits. I never realized just how much weight it took to get the balsa to stay down. I used between 10.8 grams and 12 .4 grams of lead per bait and had to cut elongated slots in the bellys to get it in. From the top and sides they look fine. Looking at the belly, Uggggggggggggggggly ! I don't think the fish will mind but I do. Will do a better job next time. RiverMan
They look really good. You might try poplar next time, it is still a very light wood but is far tougher than balsa. RM
