Fuzzerr
It seems to me that everyone has a little different thought on this color. Some have the idea that it is a gold tint, some say a little greener. I have the dye from MF and lure craft. Can you guys give me a hint on your process of making this color. Lets say we are making 4 oz of plastic. How many drops, are there any other colors you add, do you put the color in before heating... Let me know what works best for your customers. While we are on colors, can I have some help with Camo as well, again one of those colors people seem to have more than one opion on. Thanks for the help. alsworms
Hi Fuzz, To me, motor oil looks brown inside (or under a light) and green outside. I use 2 drops per ounce of plastic. You can add the color either before or after heating with the same results, and you don't need to mix any other colors. One thing to be concerned with: Lure Craft has come out with what appears to be a darker motor oil. I received my last batch the other day. Haven't tried it yet, but it sure looks darker in the bottle. Hope the results are the same Do a search on camo color. Del has a nice tutorial on here somewhere and the baits in the picture appear to be almost exactly like Berkley's camo. Hope this helps Chris
alsworms
Just noticed that Del's color is listed under (you guessed it) the color cookbook link; the first item in soft plastics.
