B and D Lures Posted January 20, 2009 Report Share Posted January 20, 2009 I have been pouring for quite some time and either buy my lure molds or make them with plaster of paris. I would like to try and make some molds with the RTV material. Is using this material any different than Plaster of paris? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch. longhorn Posted January 28, 2009 Report Share Posted January 28, 2009 I just noticed you didn't get any replys. These comments are for open molds. If you make your molds with the stick down method where you pour the POP over the masters then RTV will be no different. If you use the push the master in the top method then RTV would not be good..based on my experience. If you're talking two-piece I don't have the experience.
