squigster
Does anyone have opinions on the Lurecraft 4" swimbait mold vs Bobs tackleshack 4" swimbait mold? I am thinking about buying one and was wandering if they ran ok and caught fish or not or if one was better than the other. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks! maximusgunn
Are you talking about the 4" Aluminum one from lurecraft? If you are I have it and really like it they swim pretty good and definitely catch fish. If you have any questions about it just let me know. squigster
Sorry, yes I was referring to the aluminum ones. I want a swimbait mold and I am trying to find the best one I can. Its about catching fish not selling baits. I dont have much time to make them so I want to have something I know works and dont roll over or run with alot of tail lift. Thanks for your 2 cents. Do you have the Lurecraft 4" Aluminum? The 2 piece or one piece?
Patrick
Max, Which LC mold do you have?? Open back pour or top nose pour??? 4" or 6"??? Any pictures of a finished bait???... I have been contemplating that mold for a while now Thanks!!! Edited January 23, 2009 by Patrick
longhorn
I would go the one-piece route. Either make your own mold or try some of LC's inexpensive silicone molds. I'm sure you can get some feedback on some of those. You can pour laminates with these and get a more realistic looking bait without having to airbrush. I think they have some with hook slots also. Good luck and let us know how it comes out. Edited January 23, 2009 by longhorn added comment
