red sox 58
Where do you get it and can you mix it with regular flat black and make pearl silver?
mark poulson
Createx makes both a pearl white, and a pearl silver. Try googling createx paints, and see if there is a seller near you. Or google Bear Air. They sell it online.
hazmail
Red, try it over matte white it gives a very natural scale effect, well I think so anyway.Excuse the fluro green, it's rattle can. pete [/img]
Downriver Tackle
You're right on the money Haz. I tried a variety of pearl whites over Autoair silvers, black, and white Basecoat Sealer. Contrary to what I thought before I started, the flat/matte white Basecoat sealer gave the best look, hands-down.
red sox 58
I remember the michaels store having createx paint but their selection was few. I cant remember what they had, because they were closing and the workers were pressuring everybody to leave. I like that hazmail, I am looking for a darker silver kinda like the Oakland raiders dirty silver. Thanks guys!
hazmail
Generally that colour would be called 'Black Chrome" also 'silverfrost'. you could probably achieve this by spraying over the pearl with a Tamiya clear colour called 'smoke' which is LIKE a watered down black. That's where I would start anyway (on a test piece). pete Edited January 24, 2009 by hazmail
