Fatman
:eek:I would not normally put something like this here and hope the moderators will leave it!!! Even with all my protections on my computer I was hacked and my email was shredded!!!!! For anyone who has me in their address books under fatmans1 -AT- yahoo.com DELETE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a new email account. For those who I've done business with I've sent the new one already. I just don't want anyone getting their computers infected. redg8r
We'll leave the post for now, but moving it to the docks. Just to iterate, the hack isnt related to TU, just a notice to your existing TU contacts. All the best.
Ogajiga
Wow, Fatman thats scarey! What kind of security software did the hackers get thru? My host was hacked a coupla months ago so that websites including mine got a virus planted! Luckily, McAfee blocked it from infecting my computer. Fatman
Hawn They got through MicroSoft Security Suite, McAfee and Cyberdefenders firewall. I've switched everything gone back to AVG and Zone Alarms free firewall. they have already picked up on a few virus's that came my way. It's pretty bad when you hook the internet back up and less than 3 days later it wouldn't work!! Called my company and they said after 10,000 spams go out through your wireless account they automatically shut you down. I'm back up but I've had to notices of change of email and password on about 25 different boards I go to and several companies I deal with. Not fun. fatman
Ogajiga
Hmm, that suggests the security techs are being outgunned by the hackers. Maybe a steady fat paycheck erodes competence, almost glad I don't get one. So, your computer was linked to a spamming network?
