ageowa
Here's a little experiment from last year. Trout really dig it. Weighted fly version: Jig version: The "hardtop" is a fake fingernail with 2 coats of nail polish. First coat is black; second coat is clear holograph. Holographic polish is a freaky because it looks VERY different in the bottle than it does when applied over other colors. The "blue" specs (not really blue but they look that way) fluctuate between visible & invisible depending on the angle you are looking from. The fuzzy yarn is also trippy because it looks white when dry, but looks semi-clear with a slight purple hue when wet. I think it's UV enhanced. Forgot the brand. Found it at a craft store while shopping for beads. Wadaya think?

I would like to try that polish on a spinner bait and see if the bass in Miss. would like something like that. I dont know nuthin about flies but that sure looks good to me:worship:
mr max
Great looking jig Ageowa,A real innovative idea of using non fishing every day products. With the addition of a bunny strip on the nail it looks like it could be used for a zonker style of jig. That holographic polish is very eye catching.and appears fish catching also.
