Termite
Hey guys, I've been looking for a mold to make a barrel type jig head looks like this: DOA Terror Eyz head; I would like one with a neck so I can tie bucktails on them. If you know of anyone that has something similar please let me know! Mark
21xdc
Wouldn't a football head do the same thing?
yankee jigger
Wow,that ones a little different. I dont have a mold but i think Shawn Collins Custom Molds could probably help.
Zib
A football jig should basically work like the jig you have pictured. You could also modify a football head mold to get that shape.
Termite
A football jig would be close but I have not seen any with a 90 degree eye. I'm trying to replicate some saltwater jigs I saw in a video. That design is supost to get hung up less in rocks and oysters???
Foo G
That would be a really easy mold to create, depending on the size of hook and weight of the lead head. My suggestion would be to start with a ball head jig mold that accommodates the same size and style of hooks you plan to use. Take a bull-nosed end mill (similar to a flat end mill, only with a slight radius on the cutting end) in the same diameter as the "barrel" and use a drill press to peck drill down through the ball, creating the cylindrical barrel shape. Any manual machine shop should be able to do this at a relatively inexpensive cost, assuming they have the cutting tools readily available. Is that a wire jutting out the front? If so, you could add a channel for that using a rotary tool or get even more precise with a ball-nosed end mill (again, an easy job for a machine shop). Termite
Thanks for the replies guys, I'm not interested in pouring any myself, I was just hoping to find someone who had a mold. I have to many other molds and projects going and just wanted to make my own jigs for a FL trip this year. I'll see what I can find while I'm down there. 21xdc
A football jig would be close but I have not seen any with a 90 degree eye. This football takes a 90* hook >> Do-it Molds: Football Jig Mold BTW... I own one of these.

21xdc
I don't normally sell them. What hooks and size were you wanting? Where do you live? Shipping might cost more than the jigs. Call me if you like. 1-734-728-6145 SE Michigan is where I live.
