mickeyg
Am looking to potentially display my soft plastic lures at trade shows this spring. Anyone have suggestions? I have found this http://www.azardisplays.com/productcart/pc/viewCat_h.asp?idCategory=123 for peg displays you can purchase. Also, thought peg board and 2x4 might work at a much less cost. Thanks in Advance, Mickey
WidowMaker
Those are very nice display stands. One thing you need to consider is the cost of the wood and paint and the time spent building a display. By the time you are done it may cost you almost as much as one of the free standing Azard Displays. One thing you can do if you decide to build one yourself is to buy the pegboard and also buy the same type piece of material without any pegholes in it. Go ahead and temporarily place the pegboard in the frame and hang your items for display. Then go behind the pegboard and mark the holes that have the pegs in them. Lay the pegbord on top of the material without the holes in it and drill through the holes that are marked. This will result in a board that looks "cleaner" because it only has holes where the product is hanging. Remember to hang the main products across the top of the display board from the left to the right in the following manner: (1) jigs, (2) spinnerbaits, (3) grubs and (4) worms. You will want the various sizes and colors of the jig in one verticle column located underneath the main jig. Likewise with the spinnerbaits, grubs and worms. This way if someone is looking for worms they will "read" you products in the same manner that you are reading this sentence. They will go start at the jigs, go past the spinnerbaits, go past the grubs and then will stop at the worms. When they do stop at the worms their eyes wil naturally fall down the line of the various sizes and color you may have to offer. It will be easier for them to view your products when they are displayed in this manner.
