tucker2
Hey guys, I am looking for an additive to add to my plastic that I can purchase in bulk. For example I bought a couple of gels like Mega strike and Yamamoto's (I forget what it's called). Both of these were good additives in my opinion. I say this mainly because when added directly to the plastic they bled from the bait while it was in the water. My problem is I cannot find a gel additive like this in bulk.At $8 a bottle this gets way to pricey. Bass butter is another example but once again I cannot find anything like this in bulk. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. JT
Basseducer
tucker2, Try Upper Hand Scents, great stuff, really concentrated and good price. He's one of ours here on TU. Here is a link. fishing scents
drof99
I'll have to second that. I bought some hawg and garlic from them. If you can drive you wife out of the dining room while pouring you know its got to be good stuff! Fast shipping, easy to order, and great packaging will ensure you'll get your stink in great shape. I'll be ordering from them again.
Zbass
I like UHScents also. To me the hawg and anise smells a little like original power bait. Give them a call or visit web site. www.gobassin.com
tucker2
Thanks for the heads up fellas. I will check these out. At first glance they look very nice. Are these oil based like a lurecraft Anise or are they a gel like a bass butter? I am a big fan of the gels mainly because they seem to last a little longer in terms of how they bleed out of the bait. That may be a mind thing more than a fact but it sure seems to make a difference for some reason. I have used LC crawfish and a portion of the scent seems to evaporate during the pouring process. It's in there but it just doesn't seem to be as strong as I would like. The gels (almost like a vasiline) seems to hang in through the pours maybe because they have less water to evaporate... in all honesty I have no clue but that's the best explanation I can piece together. Zbass
Yes, they are oil based. One quetion I have is are you selling these or personal use? If it is personal then just cook it in as you have been, then add a few drops the nite before you go fishing. Upperhand stuff is very potent. If you are selling then cook it in and add to the bag when you package them. the oils will impregnate into the baits as they are in the bag. hope that helps.
