Hoosierdeek
Planning on getting OOMOO 25 trial size to try it out and see how I like it, I have heard nothin but good things. My question is.. 1. With the trial size how many molds will i get out of it? looking at making one piece molds ( 6 inchs long, 4 inchs wide, prob 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch deep ) Just a guess. 2. How long will the molds last me? pouring no more then 1 hour a session on the molds. Any info would be great, thanks for your time.
skeeterdan
You might get 3 molds out of the trial size. I love this stuff for making molds, heat has not been an issue for me, they hold up well. I just got the gallon size oomoo25

gunnie3035
It is good stuff, but I would go with the 30 over the 25. Takes a little longer to cure, but also gives you a little more time to work with it and get the bubbles out. JMO
WannabeeFishing
I'm ordering the 'starter kit' from Smooth-on. It comes with the Smooth Cast 300, OOMOO, release agent and a training DVD for around $50. I'm going to order a small package of Featherlite at the same time. Check out this link on Smooth-on's site for a luremaker using the products. http://www.smooth-on.com/gallery.php?galleryid=135&cPath=1271 Gary Edited February 24, 2009 by WannabeeFishing

WannabeeFishing
I wish I could paint. This looks like a ton of fun. I can't paint either, but I seldom let a lack of skill stop me. Compared to some of the true artists on this site, my lures are very simple schemes with a gray belly to black back or chartruse belly to a green back. Do a search on 'Rattle can". A lot of folks are doing great jobs with a spray can and not making the investment in airbrush equipment. I'm currently working on a trout pattern with some blanks I bought from another member of the forum.
