Delw
Can you be more specific? Like were are you getting the bubbles? bubbles can mean anything from moisture, surface retention additives in the plastic to mixing it very fast, then you have the way a mold is poured and even pop molds that have not cured or been surfaced will bring out bubbles. GB GONE
Be sure you are stirring with something metal as well. Popsicle sticks and the like will cause bubbles. Give us more details so we can get to the bottom of it!!!! Jim
Nebenfish
The type of bubbles I'm talking about occur when I am making dipped swimbaits. I'm not sure if I'm heating the plastic to fast or stirring too much, but I dont get the bubbles when I'm pouring in molds just when I dip baits. GB GONE
Do the swim baits have ribbing? Air traps in the ribs and will cause bubbles in the final product. I dip many swimbaits and only see a rare bubble or 2 when the plastic starts to cool.... Jim
nova
Same here Jim. The only other thing I can think of is that he may be dipping very quickly and hence pulling air down into the plastic trapping bubbles against the bait/rod. www.novalures.com
