Jig Man
I am finally getting around to building a fluid bed. I have searched and read many threads on the subject but have not been able to discern what size pump is best to get. I also live in a small town and will probably have to drive to a larger one to buy the pump. Where would be a good place to buy such a pump? akriverrat
aquarium pump for a 20 gall tank should be plenty of air. id get one with two outlets, one for color and one for clear coat. add adjustment valves so you can dial in your pressure. some powders act different than others. tons on ebay ill bet. Jig Man
Thanks. I just picked up one at Wally World that says 10-30 gallon. It is very quiet but doesn't seem to put out much air. As soon as the silicone dries, I am hooking it up and trying it out.
Stagio
I would recommend the Wally World 30 to 60 gallon w/ a "T" adapter to join the 2 seperate hoses into one. I just built another base last weekend and the 30 to 60 is the way to go. The "T" i also got al W-M for about a buck. This was my first self built bed---so easy thanks to you guys! walleye4
I also use the bigger one from Wal-Mart. I have plenty of air for my homemade fluid-bed with this pump.
roach
Try petsmart online. They have many to choose from. This might help alot of folks whom don't live close to a large metropoltan area.
