seafoam
Was wondering if its possible to paint directly over the clear coat?was thinking of applying scales over clear to give it a 3d look,of course it would give the bait slightly more weight having two coats of clear. Can this be done or has anyone done this? Thanks for your input.
mossy maker
Yes I have painted over Devcon before. I didn't have any trouble with the Createx that I use. mossy maker
oscarsteel
I have done it with no problems on larger baits. It will make the bait heavier and add more bulk.I guess it could affect some baits like suspending lures.
LaPala
There are those who use epoxy as a wood sealer. So painting on epoxy is not a problem at all. I would scuff the smooth epoxy 1st b4 painting to let the paint have more "bite". (Mechanical bond is the more technical term for it)
Skeeter
If you shoot lacquer then there will be no problem. Just shoot it. You won't have to do any prep at all. Skeeter
