96dak
im trying to figure out how to get this colour for a friend, he gave me an old hand pour that he cant find anymore to try and copy. the colour is something i havnt seen yet (i am new to this). sitting on the counter i is a dark green with a pearl (looks kinda green) core, i have a very good idea how to pour it, but when you hold the bait up to the light it casts off a rather redish-amber colour. heres a couple pics to get a better idea. and the core thanks to anyone and everyone that helps. Pitbull Baits
Thats a stumper. I had made some worms emerald green and the purple flake had bleed. So when you held it up it looked purple one way and the other was emerald green. That one in the pic looks like a plum in the light but it looks almost greenpumpkin in the other pic. What have you mixed so far to get close to it?
nova
The green is coming from green highlight. The background color looks to be a combination of amber and possibly natural (LC). could aso be pumpkinseed (LC) instead of natural. www.novalures.com
Zbass
Thats what I was thinkin' Nova, but maybe a pumpkinseed with a tad of stawberry red. The green is definatly hilite

bear21211
This may get you in the ball park with a little brown added with green hi-lite. Blue Fleck Colorant
nova
The green you see is definately green highlight. Don't add green color to the mix. I would start with amber(LC) and pumkinseed(LC) and green highlight. Don't forget to view the color with the black flake in it as this will darken the final color. www.novalures.com
96dak
i will try it, but the top and tail doesnt look like any hilite ive ever seen
alsworms
i will try it, but the top and tail doesnt look like any hilite ive ever seen I think Nova was talking about the center portion of the worm only. That part is definitely a green hi-lite. Looks very similar to a color that I used to make and I used MF Amber Green with green hi-lite to achieve the inside (vein) portion of the bait. Might be a split vein or maybe the entire middle portion of the worm is poured that way. Too hard to tell by the picture.
96dak
yeah, i knew that was a hilite, and yes it is sandwiched in there so to speak, and runs to the start of the tail, i think that it is what is casting that green hue to the rest of the plastic. im going to try it as soon as i can pull a mold of the original
