Zbass
Just wanted to let everyone know that there is another option out there for plastic now. Bearsbaits has a new plastic called de-aired plastic. It goes through a process that removes the air from it. it is said to work great in micro and I have used in a pot and am very pleased with it. The plastic he has now is a "soft". The texture of the baits once they are poured is a cross between LC 502 and LC 536. it seems to have very good hook holding properties. The fumes that are given oof while cooking are milder than LC and Calhoun's. Check it out at Bears Baits Calhoun Plastic Presto Pouring Pots zbass
Pitbull Baits
I will try some when I run out of my seven gallons I have left of M-F and Calhoun. I might try a small amount before getting five to ten gallons.
Kajan
I just tried some today for the first time. All I can say is WOW!!! If someone can't pour with this stuff, they need to give up trying to pour plastic. With a pot you can pour a 1/8" opening in a one pc mold. saint308
I poured it today from a microwave and it was easy as pie. Good stuff. Saint.

pigdestroyer
Does the de-aired plastic float? I assume it wouldn't if all of the air has been taken out of it. I am more interested in action than easy pouring. If it floats, I will have to check it out. So far I have only use Calhoun and I am very pleased with the softness and durability of the final product.
JDBaits
Im pretty sure all unsalted hand poured plastic would float, if memory servers i believe i have read something here that the big boys plastic sinks because of additives they add to their plastic. bear21211
Yes the plastic floats . The action on the baits I think will be to your liking. Does the de-aired plastic float? pigdestroyer
Awesome. Good to hear. I might have to try a small bottle. I know I talked to you about purchasing the 5 gallons of Calhoun, but I might need to try this stuff first.
