gone2long
Prolly could guess the answer to this but would like to hear from some folks on this. I have a 5 gallon bucket of LC 502 and was wondering are most of you splitting it down to 1 gallon bottles after a thorough mixing or are you putting a tap in the 5 gallon bucket? I'm not quite ready to pour yet but want to get all my ducks in a line before hand. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Chris

Bass-Boys
Yes, put it into 1 gal. stir and seperate as soon as poss. The longer you wait the more you will have to stir!!!! I use a paint stir on a drill for the 5 gal.
nova
I put mine in gal jugs as well. I always use a funnel with a screen in it for the transfer just in case. www.novalures.com
Flecksbaits
After I stir it really well in the bucket, I use a rubbermaid or tupperware pitcher. It's really easy to work with in that. Plus it's opening is big enough to get the drill mixer in the top when you need to stir it. Hope this helps.
Long Lake Lures
I actually use quart bottles for ease of handling (I pour 4 oz at a time, a couple hrs a night), but am considering a dispenser if I can setup a decent mixer for the bucket. With the majority of the baits that I pour being sticks and swimbaits, I am considering going to the softer 536 plastic next time since I find myself adding softener all the time with the 502. bojon
I always ordered mine by the one gallon jug.I dip in 2 to 4 oz at a time and like the idea of being able to shake the container before each pour.I use a drill bit extender with a cordless drill to stir if it has set for a long time.It would be a lot easier to stir with a paint mixer.Does anyone else have a way to stir in a gallon jug?I like the drill better than a dowel, but I sure am open to suggestions. IGOTWORMS
I keep my plastic in the 5gallond bucket. I like to keep it in there for mixing purpose. I use a drill and a paint mixer. that way my consistenct in on the dot.
TEE
After mixing the 5 gallons with a drill i transfer it into 1 gallon Rubber Maid pitchers...but only fill them half way up...64 0z...since i premix all of my colors based on 64 oz. quantities. This allows room in the jug to shake and aggitate the hardener on the bottom. Rarely do i need to use a drill after the transfer. When I pour I usually do 32 ounces at a time...just even with the top of the paddles on the stirrer. Not to mention after that many worms i need a break. Make another 32 ounce pour and the jug is empty. Take a new jug of 64 oz. of tranferred plastic, shake it well, and pour it into the jug I just emptied, add color, softener, heat stabilizer, and youre ready to go for the next pour of the same color. Just my . T
