Jig Man
I have been doing just fine with coffee filters and brown paper grocery bags, except, I bought some really cheap powder paint. It won't float well in my cups. I think I need another type of filter. I turned the pump all the way up and never even got close to a volcano. I bought 3 pounds of it and would like to get good use of it in the fluid bed. What might I have laying around that would give greater air flow? revbigpapa
Hey jigman you might try a nebulizer , its used for giving breathing treatments with a liquid medicine.Goodwill , thrift stores and yardsales are a great place to find them cheap. You can regulate the pressure with an aquarium valve. In a pinch you can also use them for aereators and air brushing.
george12182
I don't think even with a different filter you will get enough air flow. A coffee filter lets quite a bit of air through. What size fluid bed you using. If you are using a 3", I would try buying an adapter so you can use a 2" cup. This will add a significant amount of air flow for you. For even more airflow go with a straight 2" fluid bed.

Vacuum cleaner bags, and allergy pillow cases. The allergy pillow case idea came from akriverrat, I remember when he first posted this info way back when, it does work. Jig Man
What I had on hand was vacuum cleaner bags. They worked like a charm. The volcanoes are erupting now when I turn up the air. Thanks for the idea cadman.

cz75b
wonder if I can get my hands on the fluid bed tutorial, the various references in the archive are helpful, I have a good idea of where to go but it would be plain swell to see something concise to go from. cz75b40sw@yahoo.com
