fisheye56
Found the mold I need {do-it mold} It accepts the hook I want.{sickle type} Here is my questions. The mold has two sizes only the 1/16 is what i'm interested in, {only offer mold with cavities of 8 four of what size weight I need and 4 of a smaller size}but its seems to be the size {of this mold} that alot of threads are saying they have problems with. Its a minnow head type, Ok now the melting part from reading, temp is important when pouring molds so me heating with propane {is not the way to go}?A pot that has a way to adjust temp is where I need to go right? I'm not going to pour thousands now but later if my idea works I'll rethink.Am I on the right track? Thanks, p.s. not sure these need to be hard lead they will be lost{broke off}due to application, finess light line. This is for float-n-fly jigs. Thanks Rob
Ogajiga
My experience is that ladle pouring from a pot on a propane burner is not the easist method of pouring 1/16 & smaller jig heads. If you have fill out problems with clean soft lead, you might consider a bottom pour melter.
