Flecksbaits
I have an all star classic rod and the fore grip is trashed. I need to replace it so I figure I will have to replace everything else while I'm at it. Any advice as far as how to do this, where to get the supplies, anything at all will be much appreciated. Thank you.
Mattman
Cabela's and Mudhole have some tutorial type stuff as I recall on their site. And they are as good of place as any to buy supplies. rodbuilding.org is a great site with links to a ton of suppliers and nearly any question you've got can get answered. Tom Kirkman's book is a must read for a beginning rod builder.
Tony Maxwell
You won't have to redo everything. Handles are usually built from the butt cap up, with the guides being put on last. Not expensive but labor intensive. Or you could split the cork rings and glue them back together as you build the foregrip. Then sand to shape. Again labor intensive but you end up with a custom foregrip. Good luck. Tony
