frankdi
I just bought some really fine living rubber from Japan, .04 mm. How do you get the rubber strands to seperate? I will be using it to tie small finesse jigs for smallmouth on round ball heads...thanks.
Basseducer
frankdi, There are a couple ways to do it, this is what I do. After tying on the skirt tabs and with the jig still in my vise. I grip the end if the rubber tab with my finger tips and stretch it slightly. Then with a pair of scissors I cut the tab along my fingers and the individual strands snap back toward the jig. Hope this helps.

Troul Hawk
I am interested in your source as well. Can you share? BTW...I do the same thing, pull the rubber and clip it slowly allowing the strands to spring back. On a batch of Green I own, I have to break it into three sub-sections before I clip it, it is way to sticky to cut at once.
