robalo01
Any tips on making 5" sticks with diferent colored tips in a two-piece mold? Do you just pour in one color and then the other? How do you measure the length of the colored tip?
bear21211
The Way I did these was to pour you some baits in your spare time that are only about 2 " long just pour a little into each cavity. Then cut each tip to length at about a 45 degree angle on each side forming a point.Stored them in a zip lock bag until I was ready to pour the sticks. Then when you get ready to pour your baits put these back into mold and pour the bait it will hold fairly well and your tips would be uniform. jimcline
Robalo, that's the way I do it. Just a matter of timing. Experiment with how long it takes to get the amount on the tip you want, and do it quickly so as not to have a cold joint. If you get too much or too little just cut the tip off and remelt it with the same color and the same for the rest of the bait.. Hope this helps, JIM
