kevtherev
I am using LC shad scent. I know there is not a hard and fast rule, but about how many drops would you add to 1 cup of plastic and is it OK to had to hot melted plastic. Thanks. kevtherev
Bass-Boys
I would start w/ apx. 1/2 teaspoon and then see what you think of the smell of the baits 24 hours after you pour. Yes, add to hot plastic just before your ready to pour it.
JDBaits
Just an FYI a drop is not a precise measurement, but in general there are about 30 drops in 1/2 teaspoon.
pigdestroyer
I just use a dropper full for 4-6oz. Fill the dropper and squeeze it into the plastic. I know it is not percise, but the baits have scent and catch fish. That's really all that matters.
Richard Prager
I just "squirt" some on when the baits are setting up. A "squirt" is even a less precise unit of measure than a drop . Sorry, JD I just had to....

bobv
I assume most of the scents are an oil based product, can they be used as worm oil on finished baits? How much?
daveh
put as much as you want its that simple. if you think you did not add enough add more if you think you added to much add less. i depends on the scent on how potent it is. i use pure anise and use a 1/4 eye dropper in the plastic then i put a couple drops in the finished bats and they smell good enough to eat. COBRA
i add scent depending on how much plastic, i guess over so many years i just know, my baits stink! about 1.5 teaspoon to 5-6 oz of plastic? i would have to actually look at my pouring cup. then if i reheat i hit the plastic with some more, and my worm oil has more scent in it. kbbaits
I never have added scent to the hot plastic,:?The way the stuff stinks I allways thought by putting it into the bags of werms it would soak in and be good enough.
