rxfish
I found the Zoom recipe for their green pumpkin in the cook book but after making it, it doesn't have the oxbood or brownish look of the color in their baits as in the small lizard they make, and I assume all of Zoom's green pumpkin is the same. So has anybody been able to tweek the recipe in the book or Del's recipe which calls for 6 drops of watermelon and 6 drops of pumpkinseed to 4 ounces of plastic? I would post a picture but its not going to show correctly. Thought maybe someone had a Zoom bait laying around to see what I mean. Thanks

nova
Ok; I'm going to do something I always said that I wouldn't do; but I'm feeling generous today and besides this is TU where the spirit of sharing is still alive. Still not going to share my Green Smoke though. I'll post my green pumkin recipie which I worked on for quite a while trying to copy Zoom's GP. Finally got it very very close, if not right on. I'll put it on the sticky. www.novalures.com
rxfish
Nova, thankyou sir. I haven't tried your recipe for this yet but will first thing tomorrow. The Dutchman
I remember a customeer that wanted this and I believe I added brown watermelon to Lurecraft green pumpkin to get a dead-on Zoom. Will try to find the recipe. Also, that was the old Green pumpkin that LC used to have.

Will try to find the recipe. Also, that was the old Green pumpkin that LC used to have. I didn't know they changed it. I haven't bought any for quite a while as I have a couple of large bottles and probably won't need any for a while yet. www.novalures.com

irbassnut
This dead on,if you use that many drops change company's Zooms green pumpkin 4 drops LC green pumpkin 3 drops LC brown 2 drops LC black 3 drops LC yellow This is for 12 ounces in in a Lee pot. If your using that much color (28 drops) change company's fast, there crazy and taking your money by watering down there color's Don't fall for the dark color, keep it lite,Bass only see silhouettes, not true colors. GB GONE
All these posts confirm what many have said in the past.... Make your own Green Pumpkin and go forward. I promise I have caught as many or more fish on my green pumpkin, and other green pumpkins. I know customers want Zoom's or Gambler's or who evers colors but how about YOUR color. Matching is fun but gets old fast and not as fun as just bringing your own color to the table! Jim PS Since the "old" green pumpkin from LC is not available nor the "old" watermelon, some recipes in the sticky are no longer close. All the more reason to get your own thing going!
