Zbass
here is a link to the gallery that shows some of the 2 color injected baits I did today. They turned out really well and am real happy with the results. Did not know what to expect as I have not used an injector at all before this weekend. Tackleunderground Home - Luremakers Photo Gallery - 2 color injections So if you were wondering if you can do 2 color stuff with the injector, the answer is heck yeah! Zbass
thanks guys, but it is mostly in the system. It is easier than using a divided pot. The thing that got me was they almost came out more like a laminate rather than a swirl. I will be playing some more with the injector and will keep you guys posted. So far it has really impressed me. It takes a learning curve, which I am still in by the way, and a couple more safety measures. But safety is a good thing. pigdestroyer
Did you use 2 injectors? I am trying to figure out how you got the 2 colors without them mixing. I am pretty new with the injector. Still trying to do 1 color without making a mess.
Zbass
PD, They were done with one injector. Did some experimentation on how I got the plastic into the injector and this is what came out.
pigdestroyer
They look great. I might have to mess around and try to duplicate that.
Zbass
Working on core shots now. It can be done adn duplicated. Working on the timing of it.

cintaskevin
Those look really good. Did you divide your injector and pour the plastic into each side, then turn it around and pour?
Zbass
No, I did not divide the injector. You just pull the seperate colors into the injector and away you go.
RipLip
Z, how hard is the unit to clean when changing colors? Are you just pulling from a presto pot or something else. Also can that thing fit into normal molds or just the ones on Bears site designed for it? Nice baits everything looks great that you are doing. Zbass
hey Rip, I'm sure you probably read this already but thought I would put it here if not. http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics/17201-injectors-molds.html In post #1 I touch on the use of other molds. It can be done. My experience, which is limited at this point, I found it kinda difficult to top off the sprues when needed. Since that post however, it has become a little easier. I modified a few sprues to try it and it helped. There is a learning curve with this just like anything else. I am at the bottom of the curve right now. Time will help. Hope that helped.
