best price!

Recommended Posts

Wow thats a loaded question if I have ever seen one lol. Best plastic is all personal opinion. Check out the stickied thread at the top of the forum. As for the best prices, it all depends on what plastic you choose. And actually you probably wont have much choice as everyone has their own so thats where you need to get that particular plastic. Look in the componant section for a complete list but here are a few suppliers to get you started.

Bears Baits

Del-Mart Molds

lurecraft

netcraft

m-f manufacturing

And i am sure i am missing someone.

I would suggest calling some of the manufacturers as they will certainly work with you on pricing. Sometimes the best (cheapest) price will not equal the best baits! You may want to get small samples of plastic from some to see how well they perform with your injector.

All will be glad to work with you I am sure.

I use Bear Baits BBCP De-Aired plastic it is $99 plus shipping for 2 2 1/2 gallon jugs of it. I was using MFand was having a few problems with it. I am not knocking MF its is a very high qualty plastic. It wss based on a personal choice of the qualty of MY baits and how I pour them. The BBCP seems to be stronger and softer with no air bubbles when you heat it up and for the price it can't be beat.:yay:

It sounds like you have an injector and that usually means large quantities. You might want to call the actual suppliers and buy it per 55 drum its a lot cheaper that way. You want to make sure you have the plastic you want or else you'd be stuck with a lot of something you don't like. Just like Ghost said everyone wants a sale and will be happy to work with you. Good luck

Remember Rip that needs to be shipped by semi in most cases. I checked you should tack on about $250 to $350 on more depending where you live. I belive it was about $300 from MF in Texas or Zeiners in Kansas to my house in Nebraska when I checked with a local trucking company. Plus you well need a place to unload it if the truck doesn't have a lift gate it weight is about 500 pounds give or take. I work in a warehouse so that wasn't an issue for me I have a fork lift lol.

Was wondering has anybody on the board tried the option from Ozark tackle they sell what sounds like ground up sprue, I say ground up as it sounds like they make it uniform in size for a better re-melt. Sounds like a good deal figure you add a capful of heat stabilizer and pour away. Would like to get some feed back if there is any.
