adrignat
i have changed the rings on two carrot stix using pacific bay thread and flex coat resin.no problem what so ever......except that tiny air bubbles(and i mean tiny) appeared....they are only visible under direct sunlight.what could be the problem? i tried gently heating the resin, the result is the same.... MTfishingrods
Try mixing it without taking your stirrer out of the rod finish and mix slower. That should help if the bubles are being introduced while mixing. Also try aplying a smaller amount of finish at a time. It will take more coats but eliminates the bubbles. adrignat
why did i wrote "rings" instead of "guides"? anyway thanks for the tips:yay:.......i think the best way is to aply thinner and more coats....because i've noticed that the bubbles are on the same side of the rod on every wrap....the rest of the coat is clear.
