bobothewizard Posted June 22, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 22, 2009 Well, i measured the mold i have last night and it appears its the 3 1/4 inch mold. So i contacted Kim and asked if they had a 3 inch mold available and they do not. Any other places to look to purchase a 3 inch mold? VCFish Posted June 25, 2009 Report Share Posted June 25, 2009 I have tried a few of the LC molds in that size range. I had the same problem trying to find a 3" and never did get one exactly 3". I like the 681 and 376 best. I catch a lot of fish in the So Cal surf with both. The 681 is 3.5" with a big tail and the 376 is 2.75" with a small tail. Another one that is fairly good is the 787. It is 3.5" but I always trim the head off a bit to better fit a jighead. The 787 has a deeper body, more shad like. Good luck. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bobothewizard Posted June 25, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 25, 2009 I ended up needing plastic so I ordered some from bears baits and also purchased the 3" swimming minnow mold since I couldnt get a 3 " one anywhere else. $19.50 seemed a bit much to me though for a RTV mold and since he doesnt have a picture of that mold im not sure how many cavities it has.
