Sparkie jig

Recommended Posts

I have had this mold for about 30 years but I had not poured jigs for at least 25. I got fed up w/ paying $2.50 or more for jigs so I ordered some hooks & tried to start pouring about a week ago. I was having problems getting the jigs to pour correctly. I used the search function on this website & I poured about 20 jigs tonight. They came out perfect. The combination off smoking the mold, placing the mold on the pot, oiling the pins & using a piece of wax in the lead worked. I just wanted say thanks to the people that have contributed to this site. & to the newbies out there the search function works!

Well I'm glad you used the search function and it helped you out. There is a lot of info on pouring in this forum, from many knowledgeable guys. That's what's great about this site if someone doesn't have an answer someone else does and they are willing to share information. Just think where we would all be without the i-net.
