JSC
For those of you who are using the HT3500 and purchased it within the last couple of years. There is a recall on them ... got a E Mail from Amazon yesterday .. call Wagner and they will send you a USP pick up label ... will send you a new one on recipe of your old one. Mine is packed up waiting on the label. Call 1-888-925-6244 (may have to wait on hold a while) Yesterday they did not have anything on their Web Site about it. Hope this helps some one. WiTackleGuy
Anyone had any trouble getting through on the toll free line? I've tried a few times and had to give up after spending about 25 minutes on hold each time.
cadman
Anyone had any trouble getting through on the toll free line? I've tried a few times and had to give up after spending about 25 minutes on hold each time. I've not been able to get through yet. I'll keep trying. However both of my heat guns work, and I don't have a problem with them. The first one is going on almost 2 years, and still no problem. So I'm wondering if I should just keep it or send them both back. JSC how long is the turn around on the replacement. Do you have any idea? Thanks for the info. I was really surprised. They were really decent about it. You know Wagner makes an excellent heat gun, but boy there customer service is really slow. You would think that they would put it in high gear, so no one would get hurt or burn the house down.

I think they contract that Customer Service out .. I have thrown the envelope away but it was not directly from wagner .. Glad you got yours taken care of so easily .. we will se how long it takes to get one back. JSC
WiTackleGuy
I received my return sticker in the latter half of July and had a replacement unit within 4 days of shipping the recalled heatgun out. Unfortunately the one they sent out was damaged. It took several attempts over the last couple weeks to get through again on a customer service line. When I finally did and explained the situation they took my info and said they would ship a new unit out immediately and to not worry about sending the damaged one back. That one arrived safely earlier this week. So yeah they are hard to get a hold of . But once you do get in touch things usually move fairly smoothly. I had thoughts of taking mine back to Menards as well. I wondered if they would take it back since I purchased back in December, and if the exchange would have been from the same faulty run. Only thing with the replacements are that you get 2 nozzles with the thing and it's Stanley yellow instead of black. No big deal and the 2 tips may come in handy.
