I must be diluting way too much as I don't seem to be getting solid colours on my plastic lures. I like solid bright under body but want a darker light spray on top but very fine so it is semi see through still. I seem to get too milky a finish. Is this due to diluting too much? 68KingFisher Posted June 24, 2009 Report Share Posted June 24, 2009 You didn't say what type of paints your using, so i'm just gonna assume its some brand of waterbase?......and if so then "yep" they are easy to over reduce.....cut back and see what happens. BobP Posted June 24, 2009 Report Share Posted June 24, 2009 Maybe yes, maybe no depending on your airbrush and compressor. I'd test with some straight Createx to see how it shoots, then thin a little if needed to keep the spray pattern the way you want it. Although Createx may seem pretty thick out of the bottle, it does contain flow enhancers, etc that make it go through an airbrush pretty well.
