livewell
I have some plastic that has been sitting for several years. In addition to separating the milky and clear layers there is a gooey layer on the bottom that does not seem to want to remix. Has it sat too long or is there a way to restore it? Thanks
Jig Man
That has happened to me a few times. I just keep stiring it until it mixes then go on with my pouring.

Pitbull Baits
My friends dad had some setting around for about 15 years or so. So my buddy tried it and it still poured good no toxic fumes or any booms yet. He just mixed it for ever and it finnaly mixed up good. JSC
It just takes a lot ... I mean A LOT of Mixing ... I really have no idea how long it will last I had a 5 gal Metal Pail full from the early 70's ... it was work getting it mixed (the older formulas would settle a lot faster than the new stuff). I t was a Saltwater Grub type plastic and had a little more hardner to it and this makes mixing a lot harder as well. Saving some of it to check all along. bojon
No doubt that the plastic remains good for many years, and also it will settle out making the bottom deposit hard to stir.I buy my tube plastic in one gallon jugs, and I've been using 6 year old plastic.I use a drill bit extension to get the bottom stired up,and it takes some doing, but works.I the past,I used a dowel, but gave that up to the drill.
