balsa butcher
Guys, I want to try out some E-Tex. Is it actually called Envirotex? Where is it sold? Are there different kinds, like Devcon has 5 minute, 2 ton, ect.? If so what do I need? Thanks for the help.
BobP
The name is Envirotex Lite, and it's sold as a table top epoxy in Michael's Crafts and other craft and home centers.
VTBasser
Read up on it because it is a little different than using Devcon. Good stuff but different. Use the search here and seek out other sites. Google ohiogamefishing. Some good info there also.
Lure--Prof
You must be able to turn it for several hours, so a relatively dust free environment is a plus. E-tex also must measured precisely and mixed thoroughly! Its advantages as a clear coat are a long pot life, and it retains a bit more flex than most epoxies so you have less problem with impact cracking. I use it for sealing crankbaits. Do not try to use an extra-thick coat in an effort to keep it from pulling away from edges, as this will only cause sagging you'll have to sand.
