Vodkaman
My wife gave life to a baby girl yesterday. Why would any Mom go through all that pain more than once!!! So to all the mothers of all our children, I say respect. Dave

philB
Well done that man and of course Mrs Vodka I suspect she will have had a modicum of responsibility for the end product. Joking aside Dave, congratulations to you both. philB

yankee jigger
DAve, Enjoy your daughter while she is young.Dont miss anything...... Midnight feedings Putting her to bed and even changing diapers. I still remember my oldest son when he was born, working nights and doin the Mr.Mom thing during the day.Preschool, field trips, making breakfast and lunch, first time fishing, get the point. I also went fishing with friends when i should have taken him, sometimes i slept thru the midnight feedings, and sometimes i lost my temper when i shouldnt have. He is now 9 years old. Cherish the time cause it flies.

Vodkaman
Thanks very much guys for the kind words. It has been 21 years since I last changed a nappie, but I am sure I'll be able to engineer something, maybe a few jigs. Cadman, we toyed around with a few names, unfortunately Vgirl did not get the consideration that I thought it deserved. We settled on Isabella in the end. Milia B
V-Man, Congratulations to you and your wife! I never thought you had it in you ! LOL A more serious thought for everyone. The storm of childbirth has come Violent, painful, relentless In it's wake, beautiful sunshine ISABELLA ! Some where in the back of my minds eye I see you feverishly building so sort of Rube Goldberg devise to bathe, powder, diaper and burp little Isabella V-baby You would think the name Isabella would somehow have "beautiful" in it's meaning but actually it means "devoted to GOD" Luv ya Milia
Vodkaman
Very poetic Milia and many thanks. In Indonesia, the Isa refers to god and Bella refers to helping others. But it just happens to be one of my favorite names. Dave
